The rowing season so far has been a blur of hard training and close calls. We have had highs and lows, near crashes and the less frequent actual crashes. The months of winter training are just about over leaving us all to reflect on how brutal a regiment it was. From our training we have all improved our technique, our strength and our endurance. While we have all improved as individual rowers, our biggest accomplishment has been our unity. We have all had to alter our rowing styles in order for the crew to function better and to be able to row as one instead of several separate entities competing with one another. While it has been no walk in the park, I can safely say we have become closer as a club, as a crew and as friends. Rest assured that Athlunkard Rowing Club is ready for the upcoming season.
